Ward's 10 Best Engine Awards Announced

The annual Ward's best 10 engines have been announced. Surprisingly, the Nissan VQ V-6 series didn't get the award this year which hasn't been off the list since 1995. The awarded engines are the Audi A4 Avant: 2.0L TFSI turbocharged DOHC I4

A Possible Release Date for Gran Turismo 5 Final

You know that there is Gran Turismo HD, then there is Gran Turismo 5 Prologue as a replacement since there are so many fans are waiting for the next GT. Well the cheif executive in south Europe of Playstation has announced that Gran Turismo 5 final release date is estimated to be around Christmas of 2009. GT fans hope that this is the date.

New Upcoming Nissan Z car

The upcoming Z car will be known as the370Z. Nissan have announced the specifications of the new Z and that will perform better, but in my opinion, it is hideous compared to the 350Z. Changes include a shortened wheel base, a new chassis, the worlds first six speed manual with synchronized rev match downshift system which smooths downshifts, or a seven speed automatic with paddle shifters. The weight is lighter, and more power is stuffed in the engine with 332 horsepower with 270 ft/pounds of torque(the engine is shared with the Infinity G37). With a base price of $29,930 the Z will have an excellent mileage of 26mpg highway which is 1 more than the current 350Z. Only three packages will be available for the 370Z, the normal 370Z, the Touring 370Z, and the NISMO package. The touring model's interior functions of 8 BOSE speaker, heated seats, bluetooth, GPS, and other functions. The NISMO version will have a body kit with a spoiler, better brakes, and carbon fiber parts with more horsepower. The regular will have the regular speakers, audio player, radio, heat and A/C and other basic functions. I will be looking froward to see if it comes out prettier, and I am exited to see it perform better.

Volkswagen Jetta TDI Diesel Recievs Green Car of The Year Award

The Volkswagen TDi Diesel Jetta received the Green Car of the Year Award at the LA Auto Show. I have recommended it in the most fuel efficient recommendation article. It has a mileage of 45 city, and 55 highway.

LA Auto Show

The LA Auto show is one of the largest car shows of this year. This year it anticipates mostly on future vehicles and concepts. Many car companies are aimed at this show as GM refuses to show the new CTS-V and LaCrosse since they are at the edge of their business and showed the Volt and two mode hybrid. The LA Auto Show contains of these main highlights. Infinity G37 convertible, Hyundai and KIA concepts, the 2010 Mustang, Honda's hydrogen cell supercar, Nissan 370Z, and much more to explore.

Ferrari Plans to make a Spyder Version of the F430 Scuddria

Ferrari announced that they have made the F430 Scudria Spyder, showed some pictures of the actual few built, and said it will go in productions soon. It will come with a removable hard top spyder and be 176 lbs lighter than the stock F430 Spyder (Standard F430 spyder is 2954lbs). Powered with a 500hp 4.3 liter V8 it will go 0-62 in 3.7 seconds, its top speed 196 mph, F1 gearbox, and max rpm of 8500. The interior will include an optional audio system which is synchronized with a removable, customized Ferrari 16 GB iPod Touch, (limited edition) silver mounted above the vent caps, (optional) roll bar with a carbon fiber outer shell. The MRSP is $277,000.

A Myth of Saving Gas And Ways

Do you think it's more fuel efficient to roll down the windows, or to close them and turn on the Air Conditioner? Most people will think closing the windows will do the trick, but no. Although the air resistance will decrease, the A/C will make the engine have to do more work, so the car would have to use more gas. Keeping sunroof open and windows closed is also wasteful because the air will not be able to get out.
Basics
1. Keep tires inflated (be sure not to over inflate or tires will actually pop)
2. Take Junk out of your trunk.
3. Take everything off the roof.
4. Close convertible tops.
5. Turn off the engine at short stops. (Except traffic lights of course)(Except when engine is hot)(Except GM hybrids)

Formula 1 Final Race

This weekend, the cameraman will be shooting towards Massa and Hamilton. The current point leader Lewis Hamilton and following 2nd Felipe Massa is going to be the main highlights in the Formula 1 finale in Brazil, Massa's home county. The objective for Massa is to get first place not the championship, he believes that there is a small chance of winning the championship, but he wants to win this race for his country. Massa's team the Ferrari team is the total point leader, with his teamate in 4th Kimi Raikinan. This weekend, the cameraman will be shooting towards Massa and Hamilton of course. The catch is if Hamilton gets fifth or higher, then he will win the champion ship, if Massa gets first and Hamilton gets lower than 5th Massa will be the champion title. Will Hamilton be the first black man to win a F1 title and be the youngest F1 winner, or will Massa win the title?

GT5:Real Life Comparision

This video is comparing GT to real life. How realistic is it, how good are the physics, well, if you have actually played the game you would of gotten the sensation of a real race. The
Gran Turismo series is produced by a Japanese man Kazanori Yamahuchi CEO of Polyphony Digital, their main focus is currently Gran Turismo. You could see they have put effort into the game. These graphics and physics will blow your mind off. Not only the graphics and physics are outstanding, the controls are so realistic, even professionals use the game to practice. The other nice factors of GT5 is the people in the background move around, and the environment doesn't look druggy like most other games. This the prologue, which is the preview of the final gran turismo 5. The prologue came out March 2008 in the us as well, the final comes out December 6th. I will be looking forward to that day.
